Welcome to the Riverside Tower Hotel Blog
Welcome to the Riverside Tower Hotel official blog! Consider this your official vacation guide to Pigeon Forge, the Great Smoky Mountains, Gatlinburg, and the surrounding East Tennessee area. Not only will we feature information about staying in the area, but also we’ll give you the insiders’ perspectives on the attractions to see, places to eat, and tips from the locals.
So let’s get started with a look around. To learn more about the history of our hotel, visit our About Us page. We have varied room types based on your vacation needs, including honeymoon and two-bedroom suites. Once you’ve determined the type of room you want to stay in, you’ll want to plan your vacation activities.
You can check out the MyPigeonForge.com website to search for specific events, festivals, or conventions in you vacation date range. Or you can always take part in the types of activities that are here year round. Families always enjoy visiting DollyWood, which has activities and attractions almost every day of the year. If it’s summertime, then a visit to DollyWood’s Splash Country–a local water park–is definitely in the books. Other family attractions include WonderWorks, an upside-down interactive museum, the Titanic Museum Attraction–complete with iceberg–and more!
Those who enjoy the great outdoors, hiking, and mountain scenery will love the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which is just a short drive from our location. Make sure to check out the events page of the GSMNP website to see what ranger-led programs your family can join in on. Nature lovers who also enjoy adventure should check out one of the Pigeon Forge zip-lining attractions to see the landscapes from above the trees!
If your family prefers shopping, we have tons! The Tanger Outlets are just down the road in Sevierville, and the latest addition to our shopping scene, The Island in Pigeon Forge is just about a mile away from our location. Along with shopping, The Island features plenty of restaurants and attractions as well, including the Great Smoky Mountain Wheel.
No trip to Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg is complete without reservations at one of the many local shows. Our town is talented, and the types of Pigeon Forge shows run the gamut. We’ve got comedy, musical performances, themed competitions, magic and more. The list includes new shows and old time favorites:
